MEMPHIS, TENN. (October 29, 2009) – The St. Jude Memphis Marathon has reached full capacity with 3,500 registered participants. Limited entries are still available for the Memphis Grizzlies House 5K and the new St. Jude Memphis Family Race. All races, including the sold out St. Jude Memphis Half Marathon, are part of the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend to be held December 5 and benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers.

WASHINGTON – After the 2009 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile run filled its on-line quota of 12,000 runners last year in just 2 hours and 45 minutes, the organizers have decided to institute a lottery system for entry into the 2010 event. Under the new system, entrants will be able to register for the lottery over a 10-day period between 10:00 AM on Monday, December 1, 2009 and 11:59 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2009.

Scott replaces Ted Metellus, who was Race Director for the 2009 event.

The 10-race series began in early September in Anderson, SC, for the Midnight Flight 10K, the only nighttime race of the series. A couple of weeks later, GP runners tackled the hills of Asheville, NC, at a new race on the series, the Citizen-Times Half-marathon.

ATLANTA - (July 4, 2009) - The professional fields at the AJC Peachtree Road Race did not disappoint as Kenyans Sammy Kitwara and Lineth Chepkurui both took home victories at the 40th running of the 4th of July 10K event on Saturday with finish times of 27:22 and 31:31, respectively. In addition to taking home the top prize at Peachtree, both Kitwara and Chepkurui were eligible for the Professional Road Racing Organization's (PRRO) championship bonus and will split the $35,000 prize bringing each of their total Peachtree earnings to $32,500.

Tadesa Tola did it in Manhatten. Now he wants to do it again in Kingsport. Tola, the 21-year old Ethiopian took down the Central Park course record in impressive style earlier this year, running 27:48 at the Healthy Kidney 10K. He now has his eyes set on the 8K world record at the Indian Path Medical Center & SunTrust Bank Crazy 8s 8K Run in Kingsport on July 11th.
