Long Course Duathlon Nationals Set for May 18
Elite and age group athletes will converge in Auburn, Calif., referred to locally as the “Endurance Capital of the World,” this weekend for the 2008 USA Triathlon Long Course Duathlon National Championship.
IAAF Announces Pistorius Eligible

Nike Team Nationals to Become Nike Cross Nationals in 2008
BEAVERTON, OR (May 13, 2008) –Nike today announced that its Nike Team Nationals (NTN) team cross-country championship will expand this year to include individuals, becoming Nike Cross Nationals (NXN). The Nike Team Nationals event, which began in 2004, featured the 22 best teams of each gender selected via a series of regional qualifying events.

Regional Race Report: Battle of the Boulevard 10K (VA)
Steve Crane of Silver Spring, MD and Caroline White of College Park, MD were the top male and female finishers in the Battle of the Boulevard 10K in Arlington, VA. Crane won for the second consecutive year and established a new course record of 31:45. White's winning women's time of 37:49 was also a course record.
RN.TV - 2008 Fifth Third Bank Run
Brian Sell won the 31 edition of the Fifth Third River Bank Run, holding off a strong field. This is the third time he has won the USA 25K National Championship, but the first time he has won the event. Wellay Weldglyorges finished second. On the women's side, Caroline Chepakorir won with a fine 1:29:32.
Regional Race Report: Women Run the World 15K (FL)
Heather King (Orlando, FL), 33, won the Disney's Women Run the World 15K during the 3rd Disney's Minnie Marathon Weekend at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando. Running in her first 15K race, King was hardly challenged during the 9.3 mile course as she posted a time of 1:00:49 to win by nearly two minutes.

The Steamboat Springs Running Series got underway on May 3 with the 23rd annual Spirit Challenge 5K/10K. Derek Leidigh won the men's 5-kilometer in 19:37.
