The Bank of America Chicago Marathon announced that running legends and past champions Steve Jones (1984, 1985), Khalid Khannouchi (1997, 1999, 2000, 2002), Catherine Ndereba (2000, 2001), Paula Radcliffe (2002) and Deena Kastor (2005) will return as race ambassadors to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Oct. 8.

elliott.jpgASPEN SNOWMASS, Colo. —— For the second year in a row, Morgan Elliott from Black Mountain, N.C. took first place in the Audi Power of Four Trail Run 50K in a time of 5 hours 6 minutes and 22 seconds. Sean Van Horn from Carbondale, Colo. finished in second followed by Weston Hill from Upper Hutt, New Zealand in third.

YORKTOWN, VA — Jack Little, 23, of Yorktown was overall winner of the 29th Annual Coast Guard Day 5K in 16:09. Andre Jordan, 17, of Chesapeake, was second in 16:24, and Roger Hopper, 26, of Norfolk, was third in 16:36.

KEY WEST, FL — Roberet Pedroza, 15, of Key West was overall winner of the Hemingway Days Sunset Run 5K in 17:23. Second went to Frwancisco Ramirez, 26, of Key West in 18:14, while Thomas Dever, 60, of Terre Haute, IN, was third in 18:41.

NEW ORLEANS — Frezer Legesse won the 2017 Power Mile Road Race and set a new record of 4:17.70. Brock Moreaux was second in 4:31.56 and Connor Killian third in 4:32.16 in the RRCA One Mile State Championship event.

Top female in the July 29 race was Rachel Paul in 5:06.27. She was followed by Malia Call in 5:11.15 and Lauren Ross in 5:20.16.

ATLANTA — Olympic Champion Billy Mills will keynote the 2017 Jeff Galloway Half Marathon Weekend, which will be held Dec. 15-17. Mills pulled one of the greatest upsets in Olympic history at the 1964 Tokyo Games when, as a virtual unknown, he upset the favorites in a mad dash to the finish.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Marathon race officials today announced that registration will open at 10 a.m. CST on Aug. 1 for its 2018 event to be held March 3-4, 2018. The Little Rock Marathon Weekend is presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and benefits Little Rock Parks & Recreation.
