GULF SHORES, AL — Steve Harris, 36, of Pensacola, FL, and Michelle Morrisey, 51, of Snellville, GA, were winners Sept. 2 of the 4th Annual Bloody 5K Run. Harris finished in 18:15, Morrisey in 21:33.

Masters winners were Eric Langley, 44, of Birmingham, AL, in 19:02, and Tammy McKinney, 50, of Pensacola, FL, in 23:29.

COLUMBIA, SC — Steve Rivard, 24, of Rock Hill and Erin Miller, 41, of Columbia, were winners of the Labor Day 5 Miler. Rivard was the overall winner in 28:40. Miller was the first female in 31:54.

Sean Marden was second overall in 29:49 and Billy Grimes third in 29:57. Second woman was Ashlee Sears in 33:42, while Jeri Nipes was third in 33:46.

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia -- Kathy Martin, 65, from Northport, NY, set a new World Women's 65-69 3000 Meter record of 11:42.8 yesterday in the final day of the Potomac Valley Games, hosted by the Potomac Valley Track Club at TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA.

Sieczkowski, Bounds Win 5K

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Brian Sieczkowski and Kaitlin Bounds were winners of the Arkansas 5K Classic on Saturday.

Sieczkowski, 39, of Maumelle, finished in 16:35.08. Brent Corbitt, 30, of Little Rock, was second in 17:03.61, while Homer Mason, 30, of Witts Springs, was third in 17:41.26.

mf.jpgANDERSON, SC – The 40th annual running of The People’s Bank Midnight Flight road races was held on August 25 at the Anderson Area YMCA. The popular nighttime event featured a three-race lineup with a one-mile race beginning the evening, followed by a 5K, and finishing with a 10K. Many runners chose to run in more than one race, including several race category winners. The 10K race was the official start of the Running Journal Grand Prix, now in its 40th season.

Nebo.jpgDardanelle, AR — Jeremy Provence, 27, of Clarksville, was the overall winner Aug. 27 of the Mt. Nebo Trail Run, a distance of 14 miles. He finished in 1:34:12. Shane Poland, 33, of Vilonia, was second in 1:42:40.

Finishing third was Ian Rogers, 23, of Little Rock, in 1:43:04, followed by Kevin Golden, 50, of Maumelle, in 1:43:29.
