This year PowerBar introduced the Power to Push campaign, designed to offer a window into an athlete's mind as they battle both physical and emotional barriers to reach their goal. Team Elite athletes like Amy Palimero-Winters, a world record holder in the marathon and Olympic distance triathlon, embody this idea as she attempts to become the first amputee to qualify for the Olympic trails.

PowerBar also looked to Team Elite for input on a new online initiative, PowerCoachTM. The online, personalized training tool provides athletes with detailed nutrition plans as well as training programs based on the input from some of the world's most elite athletes. With PowerCoachTM both the beginner and experienced athlete can access convenient, practical information needed to push towards optimized performance.
