Peachtree Repeats as Biggest Race in America

RUSA_LargestRacesReport_Logo.pngRunning USA’s annual list of the largest number of finishers in American road races for 2016 again lists the July 4th Peachtree Road Race 10K in Atlanta as number one with 56,993 finishers. Second largest in the U.S. was the New York City Marathon with 51,267 finishers.

The Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston was the second largest race in the South with 26,804 finishers, good for number nine in the country (Boston Marathon was 10th in the U.S. with 26,640).

The Ukrops Monument Avenue 10K was the third largest race in the South and number 14 in America with 23,127 finishers.
