Concert Series Headliner Hunter Hayes joined by additional top music talent

NASHVILLE, TN -- On Saturday, April 28 the 19th running of the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll® Nashville Marathon & ½ Marathon will bring a renewed focus of Bringing Fun to the Run™ with more music than ever before. Music makes up the heart and “sole” of this event as runners enjoy a variety of music along the race course from alternative, classic and punk rock to blues and of course, country. Music and entertainment set the tempo for this running party, where runners and spectators alike will be “dancin’ in the streets” to these mini-concerts.

In addition to the previously announced headline concert performed by Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville artist, Hunter Hayes, the annual St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll® Nashville Marathon & ½ Marathon will showcase some of ‘Music City’s’ talent all event long.

Erin Kinsey (Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series Opening Act and KiDS Rock Anthem Singer) - Since the summer of 2014, Erin and her band started making waves in Texas and Music City, headlining noteworthy venues such as Love and War in Texas and The Gaylord Texan, and making appearances at the CMA Fest in Nashville, The Dallas International Film Festival and the Bluebird Cafe. In 2016, Erin made her European debut and performed at the annual Country to Country Festival (C2C) in London, England at The O2 Arena. The festival featured international country superstars such as Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Sam Hunt and Kacey Musgraves. C2C organizers look for new talent that they can introduce to fans via the C2C Pop-Up stages. The caliber of artists applying to play is very high, and Erin was chosen out of over 400 applications from all over the world. Erin has also been spending significant time in Nashville writing with some of the industry's top songwriters and she prepares for her upcoming EP.

Jillian Cardarelli (Finish Line Stage Headliner) - Rolling Stone Country ranked Jillian at the top of its list of 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know. After CMT debuted Cardarelli's first single - "Rerun" music video in September, in just 20 days it skyrocketed up the chart to the #1 video based on fan voting with the CMT Music 12-Pack Countdown for several weeks. This past fall Cardarelli toured with country music powerhouses, Jana Kramer, Jake Owen, Lonestar and Easton Corbin, making Jillian Cardarelli truly a rising star.

Ryan Weaver (5K, Marathon and Half Marathon Anthem Singer) -Ryan Weaver is a high-energy, all-American, rockin' country music artist who proudly served as an active duty Black Hawk Aviator, Chief Warrant Officer 3, United States Army. Growing up with a family of eleven in a small town in Floral City, Florida, he joined the Army right after high school. Overcoming personal tragedy with the loss of his brother and brother-in-law in combat, Ryan's determination to succeed, because of the ultimate sacrifices by others, continues to fuel his fire to accomplish his dreams in music.

Jessica Meuse (1 Mile Anthem Singer / 1 Mile Finish Line Entertainment) - Jessica is an American performer from Slapout, Alabama. She has wowed audiences since the age of 10 and has since appeared on Season 3 of NBC’s The Voice and Season 13 of FOX’s American Idol where she was a Top 4 National Finalist. Jessica became the first person in the history of Idol to perform her own original song, “Blue-Eyed Lie.” Currently Meuse is working with Jim Ervin on her debut album at Capitol in Hollywood for forthcoming release on Warrior Records/eOne.

Kitty Hawk (1 Mile Entertainment) - Kitty Hawk is an all-female country super group whose individuals bring to the table an insanely impressive musical pedigree. Singer Annie Bosko has provided background vocals for Adele, Earth Wind and Fire, Darius Rucker and many more - not to mention being Rolling Stone’s “Country Artist to Watch” in her own right. Fiddler Megan Mullins has toured with Shania Twain, Shakira, Big and Rich, Alabama, and the Jonas Brothers and Annie Clements has held down the low end for Sugarland, Maren Morris, Amos Lee and Holly Williams. Combining soul-stirring 3-part harmonies, blistering fiddle solos, an insanely energetic all-out musical assault of a stage presence, and Bosko’s no-holds-barred powerful vocal approach, Kitty Hawk is entertaining audiences across America. They’re the country-cali-cajun girls who just want to have fun and take people on a musical ride with them.
