Galloway Medal Revealed for Half Marathon

Jeff-Galloway-13.1-Marathon-MEDAL-.jpg The medal for the inaugural Jeff Galloway 13.1 race on Sunday, Dec. 14, in Atlanta features a green wreath with “Inaugural JG 13.1” in the center. “Barb’s 5K” will also be held, with both events starting at 8 a.m.

A fitness festival and expo will be held Friday (11 a.m.-7 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.), Dec. 12-13 at 200 Peachtree.

Over a million runners and walkers have read Galloway’s books, attended his retreats and running schools, received E-coaching or individual consultation, or joined his training programs. He is in front of an audience motivating and teaching over 200 times a year.

Galloway’s accomplishments are legend:

Olympian in 1972 in 10,000 meters and alternate on marathon team.

Beneficiaries of the races will be the Piedmont Park Conservancy, Piedmont Park Dog Park, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, which assists families of military members who died while serving the nation; and 26.2 with Donna, which is dedicated to breast cancer research.
