Bryan Morseman, Gina Rouse Victors at Knoxville Marathon

KNOXVILLE, TN — Bryan Morseman of Bath, NY, and Gina Rouse of Knoxville were the winners of the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon on Sunday, March 25. Morseman finished in 2:27:11 to claim the overall crown. Rouse won the women’s title in 2:56:33, winning for the third year in a row.

Ethan Coffee (2:29:19) and Lachlan Dickie (2:34:57), both of Knoxville, finished second and third overall.

Second and third women were Missy Showers (3:04:55) of Knoxville and Johanna Butler (3:05:43) of Miami.

In the half marathon, Christian Thompson of Ooltewah, TN, finished first in 1:09:48, followed by Jason McLeod (1:10:12) of Knoxville and Benjamin Tuttle (1:12:02) of Cookeville.

Top three females were Stephani Cloudier (1:23:07) of Elk Mound, WI; Andee Swann (1:28:31) of Morristown; and Eliza Dickenson (1:32:04) of Knoxville.

Saturday’s 5K was won by Travis Wilson of Friendsville in 17:41. Preston Ruth of Knoxville was second in 17:55 and A. J. Haynes of Alcoa was third in 18:11. Female winner was Whitney Heins of Knoxville in 19:07, followed by Kathy Wolski of Knoxville in 20:28 and Katie Smock of Kodak in 21:57.

The racing events had more than 8,300 registrants.
