Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Renews with Little Rock Marathon

littlerock.pngLITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette will return as presenting sponsor of the 16th Annual Little Rock Marathon Weekend. Race weekend is scheduled for March 3-4, 2018 in downtown Little Rock and benefits Little Rock Parks & Recreation.

As presenting sponsor, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Arkansas’ largest newspaper, will serve as the official media outlet for the race weekend information. The newspaper has served as the marathon’s presenting sponsor since the race’s inception in 2003.

“To be the presenting sponsor of the Little Rock Marathon since the beginning is a real honor for us,” said Amanda Copley, Marketing and Event Director for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “Not only does our community benefit from the economic boast the marathon brings each year, but we also benefit from being a part of a national recognized marathon that brings in thousands to our city from all 50 states and many countries. The exposure that gives our state is incredible.”

Race weekend includes the Little Rock Marathon Health & Fitness Expo, presented by Heifer International; the Little Rock Marathon; the Little Rock Half Marathon, presented by Baptist Health; the Little Rock 10K; the Little Rock 5K Fun Run/Walk and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon Final Mile.

Registration will be available online at through 8:00 a.m. CST Feb. 23, 2018.
