Jeff Galloway, America’s best-selling running author, also includes tips on training for trail running, including how to deal with elevation and running up and down hills. His son, Brennan— and his son’s wife, Jenny, have run on most of the trails and took a lot of photos featured in the book.

Jeff said this book is "where to find some great places to run — region by region — with directions. In addition, learn techniques and training for trail running, equipment, and resources.”

In an introduction to the book, Jeff said, “Even during the first few months of his life, Brennan was covering dozens of miles every month on the Kennesaw Mountain National Park trail system. His mom, Barbara, and I wore out the first version of the ‘baby jogger’ on these forest trails with Brennan wide awake, absorbing the natural forest environment, downloading the sounds, smells and terrain.”

The list of trails in this book includes almost every state and is divided geographically. You are given directions to the trail heads and special instructions on enjoying the area, plus photos and historical facts.

This is a more than an important running book, it also provide inspiration and beauty about favorite running trails across America.
