The Bear Hole Road Race is named for the scenic Bear Hole Fork Road over which the race traverses. The course follows a paved road, full of twists and turns as it meanders through the park.

Four events were held, including a 10K and a 5K, along with a 5K non-competitive recreational walk, and the new one-mile fun run for all ages.

Runners in the 10K and 5K races, who ranked in the first three places in their age categories received Bear Hole trophies
