GAFFNEY, SC — Francis Kamiri, 30, was the overall winner of the July 8 Peach Festival 10K in 36:30. Second was Tony Casey, 30, of Greenville, SC, in 36:59, while Alex Marchek, 20, of Gainesville, FL, was third in 37:51.

Top female was Purity Munene, 30, in 37:34 (third overall). Finishing second female was Amy Edelstein, 39, of Shelby, NC, in 45:46, followed by Jennifer Lybrand, 30, of Columbia, SC, in 46:30.

Male master champ was Bert Saucier, 46, in 40:05. Andrew Williams, 42, of Boiling Springs, was second in 42:57, followed by Steve Conway, 52, of Chesney, in 45:53. Female winner was Tonya Buice, 44, in 50:57, followed by Rose Saucier, 47, of Boiling Springs, in 54:59, and Teresa Hrubala, 47, of Roebuck, in 55:25.

In the 5K, Austin Steagall, 24, was the overall winner in 15:0l. Second was 22-year-old Ben Sessions in 16:30, followed by Jonathon Keller, 19, in 16:38. Shawanna White, 37, was female winner in 18:18. Hilary Richards, 33, was second in 20:22, and 13-year-old hometowner Kaitlyn Rowe third in 21:27.

Orinthal Striggles, 41, was the male master winner in 17:12, followed by Gary Ball, 48, in 19:29, and Mike Caputo, 44, in 21:14. Women’s winner was Susan Rogers, 54, in 22:51. Karen Burgess, 48, was second in 26:11, and Stephanie Kitchens, 42, third in 27:36.
