Jeff Galloway Race Weekend Fun for All Ages

runners.jpgThe Jeff Galloway Race Weekend promotes health, fun and fitness for the both the individual and family by offering plenty of opportunities throughout the weekend.

With this year’s addition of the Fit Kid’s Fun Run sponsored by Sky Zone Trampoline Park (, the three day event is now presenting a race for runners of all ages and fitness levels encouraging the whole family to stay active and in friendly competition with each other. The Fit Kids Fun Run will be held immediately after Barb’s 5K, which is presented by Beecausechambers (, on Saturday, Dec. 12. This race, geared for kids 2-12, is to inspire them to stay active and also to have a good time. Sky Zone will have goodies for the kids afterward and Phidippides will host an after-race party.

The Fit Kid’s Run/Walk will take place immediately following Barb’s 5K, so parents can cheer on their little runners and participate in the after-race festivities. Participants of all ages are encouraged to take part in Barb’s 5K and with an ample time limit, all runners/walkers can go at their pace worry-free.

With the Jeff Galloway Half Marathon scheduled on Sunday, December 13th, families will have time to explore and enjoy Atlanta decked out in Holiday lights and charm, before the big race.

The scenic half marathon course will take participants through various historic Atlanta neighborhoods with a finish in beautiful Piedmont Park.

The Jeff Galloway Half Marathon has allotted four and a half hours for finishing, so participants have time to move at their own pace and still get to enjoy the whole event.

The Jeff Galloway Race Weekend Expo is open to the public, everyone is welcome to meet the Jeff Galloway “family” and have a great time.

Expo vendors and sponsors will be set up to showcase new products, services, provide demonstrations and keep visitors entertained.

Jeff Galloway will be on hand once again at the JG 13.1 Expo, to judge the anticipated annual costume contest. Along with Jeff and Barb, in attendance will be some big names in the running community. The 2015 Jeff Galloway Race Weekend is sure to have elements for the whole family.

The Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon is named for Olympic runner Jeff Galloway, author, public speaker and “America’s Running Coach” who was recently named by Running USA as the most recognized person in the sport of running. The race is hosted by Phidippides, the oldest specialty running store in the country with two Atlanta locations.
