Galloway Race Weekend Virtual Options Still Available

For runners and walkers, who were unable to make the 2015 Jeff Galloway Race Weekend and still want to earn the race medal and unique technical shirt, there’s good news. With the Jeff Galloway Virtual Race options, runners and walkers can still obtain the items.

Virtual race options have been gaining popularity in the recent years and give runners the options to still earn their medals in their own way.

With the increasing popularity with smart phones, many apps have been made available that will track the runner’s distance and time, then allow them to take a picture of the results for their records. Runners can also take a picture of their treadmill distance and time for submission.

For runners who want to plan ahead for the 2016 races, the virtual races will open for entry in April. The Jeff Galloway Virtual Races will be available each year to give the “Galloway Family” the chance to join in spirit if unable to make the event.

“I know that everyone lives a busy life, especially around the holiday season. By opening up the virtual races, we can now give all runners a chance to participate in the event in a way that works for their schedule, and still happily bring them into the Jeff Galloway running family!”

The Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon is named for Olympic runner Jeff Galloway, author, public speaker and “America’s Running Coach” who was recently named by USA Running as the most recognized person in the sport of running. The race is hosted by Phidippides, the oldest specialty running store in the country with two Atlanta locations. Named for Barbara Galloway, Jeff Galloway’s wife of 38 years and also an avid runner, the 5K race has been added to the official race weekend agenda.
