Galloway Race Weekend Virtual Option available until April

ATLANTA, GA — Registration for the 2016 Virtual JG 13.1 & Barb’s 5K Opened in May 2016, and is still open until early April 2017. The virtual option was created for fans of the Galloway Race Weekend, who were unable to travel to the actual race events in Atlanta, Jeff Galloway’s hometown and backdrop of his signature race event.

Each virtual participant will receive the same official finisher’s medal and unique collectible Race T-shirt, as the “on site” participants after receipt of proof of completion for each event.

The virtual option is available globally for both the 5K, Barb Galloway’s signature race, and the Half Marathon, named after running legend Jeff Galloway.

To be eligible for the virtual race event, individuals must register by April 3, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST.

Virtual participants must complete an accurately measured course (a training run or an actual race completed between May 2, 2016 and April 3, 2017) and send virtual race proof/results to by April 3, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST.

Each person must send in their own individual results by submitting a copy of the half marathon or 5K results and sending in proof of finish, place, time, date and event (if applicable) to

About the Jeff Galloway Race Weekend:

The Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon is named for Olympic runner Jeff Galloway, author, public speaker and “America’s Running Coach” who was recently named by USA Running as the most recognized person in the sport of running. The race is hosted by Philippines, the oldest specialty running store in the country with two Atlanta locations. Named for Barbara Galloway, Jeff Galloway’s wife of 38 years and also an avid runner, the 5K race has been a staple to the to the official race weekend agenda since 2014 The FIT KIDS Run/Walk was added in 2015 to allow families to participate with all members and bring running and walking to the youngest generation.
