Galloway Race Weekend Adds Training Option

Date:

ATLANTA — The Jeff Galloway Race Weekend has added a Customized Training Program (CTP) available for all race participants of the 2016 race event. Customized training is the latest new component for the 3rd annual Jeff Galloway Race Weekend. Earlier this month Galloway announced the Double G (two races in two days to earn a special medal). Along with the Double G, customized training further supports runners doing what they want to do – run more races while staying injury free.

With the average age of the runner/walker having increased to 40+, making sure a training plan is safe has become a top priority. Regardless of age, the unequaled positive attitude boost, significant stress release, and overall increase in vitality, focus and creativity are all reasons why people are starting to and continuing to run/walk. Accomplishing a goal such as a 5K, Half Marathon, Marathon or beyond can be easier and safer than most people think.

Participants of the Jeff Galloway Race Weekend are encouraged to “Get Customized,” and sign up can be done during the race registration process. https://jeffgalloway131.com/onlineregistration. Full details of the Jeff Galloway Customized Training Programs can be found at http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/customized-training.

Local Training in Atlanta for the Jeff Galloway 13.1 Training kicks off Aug. 6, and Barbs’ 5K Training begins October 15, 2016. Join Galloway and his staff of motivating team leaders to learn how to train safely and complete a 5K and/or 13.1 event. This training program is for all levels of runners and walkers including beginners.

Training programs are available in other US cities. For more information please see https://jeffgalloway131.com/training

About the Jeff Galloway Race Weekend: The Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon is named for Olympic runner Jeff Galloway, author, public speaker and “America’s Running Coach” who was recently named by USA Running as the most recognized person in the sport of running. The race is hosted by Phidippides, the oldest specialty running store in the country with two Atlanta locations. Named for Barbara Galloway, Jeff Galloway’s wife of 38 years and also an avid runner, the 5K race has been a staple to the to the official race weekend agenda since 2014. The FIT KIDS Run/Walk was added in 2015 to allow families to participate with all members and bring running and walking to the youngest generation. www.jeffgalloway131.com.
