Galloway Race Weekend Adds “The DOUBLE G”

ATLANTA, GA — The Jeff Galloway Race Weekend will have a new feature for the 2016 race events, the “The DOUBLE G”, a race component for participants finishing both the 5K on Saturday and the 13.1 Half Marathon on Sunday. An extra 3rd medal will be presented for completing both races. In addition, the first 300 participants who register for the Double G will receive a JG branded stylish puffer vest. (Participation for The DOUBLE G is not available in the virtual option)

The Double G includes:

Barb’s 5K (Saturday, December 10, 2016)
JG 13.1 (Sunday, December 11, 2016)
3rd medal for completing both races

The Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon is named for Olympic runner Jeff Galloway, author, public speaker and “America’s Running Coach” who was recently named by USA Running as the most recognized person in the sport of running. The race is hosted by Phidippides, the oldest specialty running store in the country with two Atlanta locations. Named for Barbara Galloway, Jeff Galloway’s wife of 38 years and also an avid runner, the 5K race has been a staple to the to the official race weekend agenda since 2014. The FIT KIDS Run/Walk was added in 2015 to allow families to participate with all members and bring running and walking to the youngest generation.
