AT&T Named Title Sponsor of the City of Oaks Marathon

Raleigh’s 11th annual hometown marathon will take place Nov. 3-5.

ATT-COO.jpgRALEIGH, NC, — Raleigh’s hometown race announced AT&T* as the title sponsor of the 2017 City of Oaks Marathon Nov. 3-5, 2017. AT&T, a global leader in telecommunications, will provide a variety of engaging opportunities for runners throughout race weekend, including the AT&T course viewing theater at the pre-race expo as well as a race day runner communication center allowing participants to contact loved ones after their run.

After seeing tremendous participation growth of more than 30% in 2016, the AT&T City of Oaks Marathon expects to maintain that growth trajectory for its 11th annual event this November. Race weekend kicks off with the free two-day Duke Raleigh Health and Wellness Expo at the Raleigh Convention Center where runners will experience a variety of interactive vendors.

Race day provides a variety of distance options for runners to choose from, including the AT&T City of Oaks Marathon, UNC REX Healthcare Half Marathon, Marathon Relay, Old Reliable 10k, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Acorn 5k, and a Kids’ Mile. The race will start and finish on Hillsborough Street with a course that features many of Raleigh’s most scenic and iconic locations, including downtown Raleigh, NC State University, Meredith College, and the Capitol Area Greenways. After the race, participants will enjoy the LexisNexis post-race party featuring live music from local favorite Liquid Pleasure, free beer, food, vendors and more.
