The race supports Childhelp, an organization dedicated to prevention and treatment of child abuse. The 5k starts at 9:00 a.m. (Pacific) and passes by Oregon State University.

Seaman won the USA 30km Walking Title in 2.38.16 while fighting off the brutal conditions and hamstring cramping.
