GREENSBORO, NC — Andris Goncarovs, 25, was the winner of the Triad Ten Miler on Saturday, Sept. 23. Goncarovs, of Greensboro, raced home first in 53:52.4. Chris Jackson, also of Greensboro, was runner-up in 56:38.8. Chass Armstrong of Asheville was third in 57:00.9.

COLUMBIA, SC — Sean Mardin won the Running for Your Life 5K on Friday night, Sept. 22, in 18:21. Matt Gregory was second in 19:56. Third male was Matt Parris in 21:37.

Overall female winner Jennifer Lybrand (21:24) was third overall finisher in the race. Katelyn McElveen was second female in 25:15 and Savanna Donahue was third female in 26:32.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA — Nyandusi Omurwa, 33, of Fort Eustis, and Sheila Scotti, 30, of Hampton, were winners Sept. 23 of the Race for Hope for Africa 8K. Ombre finished in 30:30, Scotti in 41:04.

KINGSPORT, TN — Zachary Russell, 24, of Bristol and Lisa Hazlett, 40, of Gray were winners of the Bays Mountain 15 Mile Trail Race on Saturday, Sept. 23. Russell finished in 1:48:00, Hazlitt in 2:28:28.

MIAMI, FL – The Divas® Running Series celebrated its fifth annual races in Leesburg, Virginia Sept. 15-16. The 5K took place at the Lansdowne Resort and Spa on Friday evening, with a team of Ainsley’s Angels from the National Capital Region leading the way. Tarara Winery played host to the half marathon on Saturday morning as participants weaved their way through the picturesque countryside.

50 athletes ran the 26.2 mile course Friday night within the historic ball park

fenway.pngBOSTON (September 19, 2017) – The Inaugural Fenway Park Marathon managed by DMSE Sports raised more than $320,000 for the Red Sox Foundation on Friday, believed to be the first marathon ever held totally within a major league ballpark. Fifty athletes from 12 states, including Dave McGillivray, the director of the race who also directs the Boston Marathon, ran the 116 laps to raise money for the charity.

Ridgeland High School JROTC also to receive Community Grant in charitable giveback.

TAMPA, Fla. -– The IRONMAN Foundation® will partner with My Own 2 Feet & Wheels, a running, walking and biking program created to support and motivate the Chattanooga homeless community with a Community Grant to purchase new bikes and running equipment. In addition, The IRONMAN Foundation will distribute $50,000 in charitable giveback to non-profit initiatives and groups in the Chattanooga region in conjunction with the 2017 Little Debbie IRONMAN® Chattanooga triathlon presented by McKee A Family Bakery taking place on Sunday, September 24.
