Ridgeland High School JROTC also to receive Community Grant in charitable giveback.

TAMPA, Fla. -– The IRONMAN Foundation® will partner with My Own 2 Feet & Wheels, a running, walking and biking program created to support and motivate the Chattanooga homeless community with a Community Grant to purchase new bikes and running equipment. In addition, The IRONMAN Foundation will distribute $50,000 in charitable giveback to non-profit initiatives and groups in the Chattanooga region in conjunction with the 2017 Little Debbie IRONMAN® Chattanooga triathlon presented by McKee A Family Bakery taking place on Sunday, September 24.

Ricky Flynn was overall winner of the Lake Murray (SC) Dam Run on Saturday, finishing in 30:25. Top female was Shawanna White in 36:04.

Michael Banks was second overall in 30:42 and Frank Devar third in 32:17. Second and third females: Joy Miller in 36:21, Julie Wiemerslage 37:14.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 15, 2017) – Delta Dental of Arkansas, the largest provider of dental benefits in the state, has again agreed to sponsor the 2018 Little Rock Marathon’s Little Rockers Kids Marathon as part of the company’s ongoing philanthropic efforts. This is the third time Delta Dental of Arkansas has been a marathon sponsor.

24,000 Runners to Participate in October 21st Baltimore Running Festival
balt.gifBaltimore, MD -– Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) announced the finish line for all distances of the October 21st Baltimore Running Festival will be relocated to the Inner Harbor along Pratt Street. PRESQUE ISLE, PA — Jacqueline Morgan, 37, of Richmond, VA, was the female winner of the Erie Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 10, finishing in 3:03:15.

Overall male winner was Rejean Chiasson of Canada in 2:30:10, while Ryan Sloan, 30, of Jacksonville, FL, finished second in 2:32:42.

Race to benefit Alexander County Animal Shelter
 
HIDDENITE, NC — The Run for the Dogs Trail Race is being held in conjunction with the Rocky Face Rock Climbing Festival on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area in Alexander County. There will be three (3) race distances: 4 miles, 8 miles, and 12 miles. All races start at 8:30 a.m. at the new Rocky Face Park Visitors Center, located at 3645 Rocky Face Church Road, Hiddenite, NC 28636. Participants are asked bring some dog and/or cat food for the Alexander County Animal Shelter.
