Brent Schouler of Hyannis, MA, was second in 2:34:41, followed by Walt Guyer of Charlotte in 2:36:45. Fourth went to Erasmo Ordonez of Harrells, NC, in 2:45:07, while Alexander Jeffs of Cary, NC, was fifth in 2:52:42.
NEW ORLEANS — Ian Carr raced home the winner Saturday in the 50th Annual Al Briede Gold Cup 5K at Audubon Park, finishing in 16:12. Lauren Ybarzbal was the female champion in 20:20.
Aaron Hunt, 15, was the youth winner in 19:48. Fiona Collins, 14, was the top youth female in 24:22.
Masters winners were Branden Wingate in 17:17 and Kirsten Reisig in 23:58.
