Myrtle Beach Marathon Awards Scholarships

mblogo.jpg The Myrtle Beach Marathon Scholarship, founded in 2005, is a program intended to support graduating high school senior scholar athletes from Horry County, SC, in their quest for a college education. Up to three (one time) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to an outstanding scholar athlete who has participated in any Myrtle Beach Marathon event as either a participant or volunteer.

RALEIGH, NC – Mikey Brannigan, Rachel Cliff, Chris Derrick, and Cory McGee have been added to the 2016 Sir Walter Miler. All four athletes bring international experience to the 3rd annual event, which will be held next Friday, August 5th, at Meredith College.

Five Enthusiastic Individuals Appointed to Serve as RRCA Ambassadors in their Home States

Arlington, VA – In recent months, the RRCA has named several new and eager individuals to the position of State Representative. State Representative are in many ways the personal face of the organization, serving as ambassadors in each state and providing a physical presence while promoting RRCA programs and services to clubs and events. As the below biographies reflect, this most recent group of State Representatives demonstrate the reach and scope of the RRCA, not just geographically, but in its ability to service members of all backgrounds who are passionate about the sport of road racing.

BYDGOSZCZ, Poland -- Another sweep of relay golds and a pair of individual bronze medals lifted Team USA to a tie for its highest-ever medal count Sunday on the final day of the IAAF World Under-20 Championships at Zawisza Stadium. With 21 total medals, including 11 golds, the U.S. matched the 2002 and 2014 teams, and the 11 golds equal the second-biggest haul ever behind only the 13 won in 2004.

Nashville’s premiere running event was rebranded as a Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in 2016 after having been formerly known as the Country Music Marathon since 2001. The name change aligned with Music City’s diverse foundation that features musical artists spanning all genres.

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan -- The final day of the USATF Masters Outdoor Championships was met with three broken records and many outstanding performances in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Sunday, as the 400m hurdles, 1500m, and relay events marked the conclusion of the championship weekend.
