RICHMOND, VA – The 16th annual Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S, named one of the country’s top 10 running races by USA Today, began accepting online entries at 12 a.m. on December 1 for the March 28, 2015 event at www.sportsbackers.org. New in 2015, everyone who completes the 10k will receive a custom event medal to recognize their accomplishment of finishing the race.

15 Bands confirmed for Feb. 8th Sarasota Music Half Marathon

SARASOTA, Fla., …Sarasota will be getting its first-ever, citywide moving music festival on Feb. 8, 2015, when 15 local bands converge on the race course for the Sarasota Music Half Marathon. 189 runners awarded MCM Event Series Distinguished Participants Medal

QUANTICO, Va. - Capturing his second consecutive win, Stephen Harrison led 978 runners to the finish of the Turkey Trot 10K on Marine Corps Base Quantico today during the cold, crisp autumn morning. Harrison, 26, easily defended his title, winning the Turkey Trot 10K with a five-minute lead over the field of participants hailing from 19 states and Washington, D.C. Harrison completed this year's Turkey Trot in 33:56, just shy of his win last year at 32 minutes, 26 seconds.

The Space Coast Marathon & Half-Marathon is for the second year offering RaceJoy, a mobile application available for iPhones, iPads and Android devices. The organizers of the Space Coast Marathon & Half-Marathon have played an integral role in RaceJoy’s initial launch into the running race industry. Last year’s Space Coast Marathon & Half-Marathon, produced by the Running Zone Foundation and Space Coast Runners, was the first marathon event in the United States to offer RaceJoy.

Rocky 50K winner - Benjamin Smoker (for email).jpgThe 2014 Rocky 50K Trail Race was held Saturday, Nov. 15 at Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area in Alexander County, NC. The race began with participants climbing the "Stairway to Heaven" trail, then running the rest of the trails that were specially marked for the 50K event (approximately 31 miles). The trail race was difficult, but offered some breathtaking views from atop the mountain.
