The inaugural Jeff Galloway 13.1 and Barb’s 5K have gone virtual.

For those wanting to participate in either event hosted by America’s Running Coach Jeff Galloway and his wife Barbara Galloway, but are unable to make it due to travel issues: Problem solved.

With virtual race options now available, runners can participate without being present. With virtual races gaining popularity, runners can race the distances other participants will run, but let them to do these distances anywhere.

At midnight on Friday, Oct. 31, registration fees for all 2015 Little Rock Marathon events will increase and athletes planning to participate may want to register soon rather than later.

The Little Rock Marathon Weekend is presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and benefits Little Rock Parks & Recreation.

2015 Race Registration Opens November 1

Wilmington, N.C. – The seventh annual PPD Beach2Battleship Triathlon, produced by Set Up Events and benefiting the Wilmington Family YMCA, took place this past Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014. Nearly 2,200 triathletes from 43 states and several countries raced the half and full iron distance events. Additionally, more than 200 runners also participated in the inaugural New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) 5K.

GNC franchises in the Triangle Area of North Carolina announced today a title sponsorship of the Tobacco Road Half-Marathon, the sister event to the Allscripts Tobacco Road Marathon (TRM) presented by Inside-Out Sports. The franchises are located in Holly Springs, Park West Village of Morrisville and North Hills of Raleigh.

The inaugural Jeff Galloway 13.1 Half Marathon and the Barb’s 5K Race Weekend have added beneficiaries to their not-for profit receiver list. For 2014 the line- up includes the following organizations: Atlanta’s Piedmont Park Conservancy, The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), the Piedmont Park Dog Park in Atlanta and Florida’s 26.2 with DONNA; all are organizations Jeff Galloway and his team have special ties to and root for support.

They know the marathon is a cruel mistress who can reward you in one race and punish you in the next. They know there are no runners who forever evade disappointment, that it strikes everyone.

Registration is underway for The Louisiana Marathon, a three-day running festival Jan. 16 - 18, 2015 in Baton Rouge, LA. Now in its fourth year, The Louisiana Marathon expects to attract 30,000 attendees from 50 states and 12 countries. A celebration of running and Louisiana culture, The Louisiana Marathon is helping Louisiana become known as the running capital of the south.
