By Richard Ferguson, Ph.D.
Ferguson,_Richard.jpg___3.jpgAll too often runners get caught up in race times, race finish places, and the pursuit of achieving the “perfect race.” There is pressure from within to run faster and faster and finish higher and higher in age group classifications. Sure, you need goals and goal setting is useful to improve performance, but do you ever lose sight of the actual process that allows you to achieve your running goals and perform up to your potential? Do you look too much at the outcome and not enough at the road that can lead you to the outcome?
